Christening & Naming Ceramonies
We can hold functions for you to celebrate your child's Christening after
you have been to church, or to hold a Civil Naming Ceremony, we were in fact the
first venue in the Wakefield district to hold a Naming Ceremony.
A Naming Ceremony is a very special way of celebrating the birth of
your child and welcoming the new arrival into the family and the wider
community. It is also ideally suited to welcome an adoptive child or to embrace
stepchildren into a new family.
It is an opportunity to declare before family and friends, your
promises to be as good a parent as you can, and for adult friends or relatives
to confirm their special relationship with your child.
The child or children can be any age. A naming ceremony is a unique
occasion for everyone to feel involved as they pledge their love and support for
your child's future development.
Any parent can make arrangements to hold a naming ceremony. Likewise anyone who has parental responsibility or legal guardianship of the child or children
Parents do not have to be married and can come from any spiritual background or none. Every Naming Ceremony is unique and offers the flexibility to meet the
individual needs and wishes of the family.
Ceremonies can be specially created using the family's selection of
words, or poems and readings from the wide selection provided. During the
ceremony a Souvenir Record of the ceremony is signed by the parents, supporting
adults and the Celebrant.
There are many ways to make your child's ceremony a very personal,
meaningful and unique event for all those involved.
